Alka Imam

Alka Imam is a renowned Sohrai folk artist from Jharkhand with over 25 years of experience preserving and promoting this indigenous tribal art form. Through exhibitions, murals, and workshops, she has played a key role in keeping the tradition alive. As Secretary of Sohrai Kala Mahila Vikas Sahyog Samiti, she actively supports and mentors local artists. Her efforts have contributed to the wider recognition of Sohrai painting, including its GI tag status.
